🧩 Fix Toolbox Not Working / Missing Part Properties / Toolbox Items Greyed Out
This error usually pops up when trying to use Toolbox in SOLIDWORKS and it says:
❌ “Database is missing: swbrowser.sldedb”
This means the Toolbox database file is missing, moved, or not linked properly.

FileYou can usually find it here:

If the file is not there, check other versions like:

Still missing? Try searching for it:
Win + S
swbrowser.sldedb
Copy the full path of the correct file.
Under “Toolbox Root Folder,” click Browse and select the folder that contains the swbrowser.sldedb
file

Click OK, restart SOLIDWORKS and try again.
